The people whose job it is to monitor the atmosphere and predict future weather events are saying we can expect 13 to 16 major storms this year, eight to 10 of which could become hurricanes. Of those, four to six might become Category 3 hurricanes with wind speeds of up to 130 miles per hour. Last year, 28 storms were named, and 15 hurricanes, seven of which were Category 3 or higher. As I ponder those facts, I'm left with the uneasy feeling that more will die or suffer again this hurricane season, needlessly, because of bureaucratic bumbling ineptitude.

The water temperatures have risen about 4 degrees which makes for stronger Hurricanes
