It's been a while since I've seen anything I could call "a good movie," but this one was a pleasant surprise.
I'm at a stage in life where bathroom humor, bedroom comedy, and dirty jokes overloaded with f-word profanity no longer make me chuckle and blush -- it's been done before and I've seen it all. And, with Will Ferrell starring in the movie, I figured that I knew what to expect. But, my wife expressed an interest in the movie when the preview popped up on another DVD, so I rented it.
Like most movies, it turns into a romantic story at some point, but when you watch the extra features included on the disc, you realize that a lot of thought went into the writing and production of the piece. And with stars like Dustin Hoffman included, you can't go wrong. Go see... or rent... Stranger than Fiction. I know you'll like it.
