In the city near where I live, a pair of Bald Eagles have unexpectedly built a nest and produced three eggs. So far, two have hatched, the third egg is expected to hatch at any time. Moments ago I watched as the male (which is smaller) flew in with a fish, and both parents fed the hatched chicks. The female then took off and the male took his turn sitting on the nest. I've seen nature programs about Bald Eagles before, but to watch them in real time is a different experience. Once you start, it's hard to stop. In chat window people talk about staying up watching all night. Bald Eagles haven't nested here for 250 years. Wow, 250 years, that's quite a long time.
