Although I'm grateful that 'Becker', a sitcom about a medical doctor with a miserable personality, was on for five seasons or so, I wish it had lasted another year or two.
When the show finally did go off the air, it was unclear whether it would return the following season. So the final episode had a storyline that would've allowed the show to continue. For example, in the end, Becker stated that he was feeling more upbeat. However, if the show had come back, you can be sure his old, negative personality would've returned.
The funny part about Becker's character is that despite being so miserable, he was a doctor! Ha!
